Our own Dr. Michael Miller has received the Healthcare Provider of the Year Award from the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities in recognition of his work in improving and enhancing the lives of people with disabilities. The award was presented to Dr. Miller during an awards ceremony and reception held at the Frist Center in Nashville.

Candidates were nominated by the caregivers and community groups that are involved with disabled and special-needs persons. Dr. Miller was recognized for his exceptional care, commitment and compassion given to his many disabled and special needs patient's. Upon receiving the award, Dr. Miller shared that he finds a deep joy and satisfaction in providing care for these endearing patients.

Since 1981, the Mayor’s Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities has presented awards of recognition to outstanding individuals whose efforts have enhanced the lives of those in the disability community in Nashville. Awards were presented in 13 categories this year.
